The Boston Latin School hosts its own Certamen tournament to allow students from around Massachusetts and the Northeast to compete and demonstrate their knowledge of classical civilization. With officers and students helping out with the overseeing and creation of the tournament, this event allows for a large amount of achievement and service in the world of JCL. The tournament consists of 3 12-Question Preliminary Rounds and a 20-Question Final Round which determines the victor of each subdivision of competitors. The coaches and staff of the Boston Latin School Junior Classical League also hold an informational session that provides experience and guidance to up and coming schools who wish to grow in their Certamen abilities.
